Whatever your Prostate Cancer diagnosis, you can live a healthy, active life.
Here’s my story and I’d like to invite you on a journey of healing and recovery. Watch Prostate Cancer: One Man’s Journey below 👇
This is a powerful, positive and practical film. During this pandemic we all need as much support we can find, guidance, advice, someone to listen. I followed a conventional treatment programme balanced with natural healing and complementary therapies
I have been lucky enough to have met some fantastic people along my Prostate Cancer journey. In this film we follow the whole process, talking to the experts, consultants, nurses, friends and the therapists who supported me throughout. We also chat to other patients and their partners.
I hope this film removes the fear and uncertainty and shows the many practical things you can do to take ownership as you combat Prostate Cancer. Many men are treated successfully and carry on to lead a normal life.

Talk, share, take ownership
Meet the many remarkable people who feature in this film. They help
you to understand the diagnosis, the treatments and how you can help
yourself. From my GP to specialists, scientists, consultants and specialist
nurses. It is much easier than you think to talk about it all, with friends
and family.
Lifestyle and wellness
I followed an integrative programme, combining complementary health
care and natural therapies, with conventional treatments.
We hear practical advice from men’s health specialists: The importance
of diet, exercise, a range of natural therapies and resources
that you can use in your day-to-day life.

Side effects
Many men experience some side effects, whatever their treatment. We
look at the most common and share ways to cope with them. Cancer
need not define your life!
Men’s stories
Every journey is different. Just before Lockdown 2020 we interviewed Kurt from Cornwall. We chatted to Kurt and his wife Lucy. It’s tough for partners too. Extraordinary story! He busts the myth that this disease is only for older men. We also meet my local support group: men with Prostate Cancer can meet regularly to share our experiences.

Demystifying the process
We go behind the scenes and meet the top scientists. Science and research are discovering new ways to diagnose and new exciting treatments – the future is bright! We hear from world experts and ask these experts questions you may have. Like how my genes may play a part? What are the causes of Prostate Cancer? Which foods to eat to stop it coming back?
The science
In the 5 years of treatment and recovery I was privileged to meet and talk to the some of the most talented scientists, working in the fields of cancer research. We look at the astonishing breakthroughs being made and how we are now seeing the fruits of their labours. New ways to diagnose and treat patients are increasing the chances of early diagnosis and better treatment outcomes. We meet the best in their field of cancer at the Institute of Cancer Research, Prostate Cancer UK, the Royal Marsden and Addenbrookes Hospitals to the Southampton Centre of Immunology, your local Surgery and GPs, NHS Hospitals and Cancer Support charities.
